Movies
I haven’t bought a movie in a while. But I found these two lovelies in the $4 bargain bin. It’s almost criminal!
“It was the natural order of things… all things must die.”
This movie is visual beauty overload. I love it, the story is simple. But it’s just so pretty. What kills me is that these epic locations are real and I will probably never be able to see them with my own two eyes.

Master and Commander: The Far Side of the World
“England is under threat of invasion, and though we be on the far side of the world, this ship is our home. This ship is England.”
I was obsessed with this film for the longest time. I had read some of the Jack Aubrey novels and had the film guide ( until it was unknowingly donated to charity..whoever has it now, please treat it nice). The film sent me off on other tangents relating to the Napoleonic Wars. Particularly Admiral Nelson. I’m finishing up Seize the Fire by Adam Nicolson, which is about the aforementioned subjects ( that’s a $5 word right there.)

Generally I like movies. I’m not a critic, not an expert. But I like these two just fine.

interesting…
