Haha, when I cut my long hair completely off, everyone asked meif I was a lesbian.
The same people I had been in class with all semester thought I was suddenly a lesbian.
I appreciate your humor. Thanks Stumble for bringing me here. Thanks Madeleine for making a joke that made me smile about the way things are. At least there is something good coming from “Logic.”
My ex-boyfriend’s hair and mine grew in opposite directions. Mine shorter, his longer. They STILL thought I was a lesbian (They even thought I was with long hair because I was in the Gay Straight Alliance) because he seemed feminine? Seriously!?

I had a related problem as a guy living in South Carolina with hair past my waist. I was thought of as either a hippie or a metal-head. In fact, I was just a guy who hated getting his hair cut.
My wife’s current short-haired ‘do has been straightened with Magic Straight. She must be a lesbian trying to “magically” go hetero?
Funny how the most narrow minded have such great imaginations…
That’s so true but I’d say it’s because the majority of people are vastly insecure about their own sexuality. To say that you are sexually attracted to anything that slightly resembles that of a boy, means you are automatically a queer. I absolutely love girl’s with short hair. I could not like a girl at all, but if she cuts her hair I’ll find her sexier than before.

Hahaha, so true. XD Since Ive gotten my hair cut into a mohawk, Ive been called lesbian, butch, and been mistaken for a male more than once. Great, humorous way to address this issue.
I dress in jeans, t-shirts, and Converses and have been called a dyke for it. Just because I don’t walk around in foot-killing heels or wear skirts all year round I’m automatically a lesbian.
I came home with a pixie cut and my dad said “when did I get another son?” HA! I just got out of a horrible relationship and I needed a fresh start. It feels fantastic.
It’s all true. XD I mean, why else would any lady have short hair? Can’t be a fabulous style or the freedom from spending hours tending to it….
The shorter your hair, the greater your desire for the same sex!
That can’t be true; I have really long hair, and I’m Bi, and one of my friends is a long-haired butch.
That’s kind of the joke…
I know a guy and he’s bald.
Poor wife.
There’s an army joke in there somewhere.
.ha HA ha, this is so great !!!
Sad but true!
Glad you like it!

I had a similar experience. The day I appeared with short hair I was told I looked, and I quote, very lesbian.
wtf?
anyway, nice one! Just found it through stumble upon.

Thank you for this. I’ve been dealing with this type of nonsense my whole short-haired life.
<3 girls with short hair. I'm a guy, btw.
Ditto

An excellent example of the ironic idiocy of life. A tip of the hat.

oh god…. this IS me and my boyfriend in a nutshell. I love you <3 =D
Audrey Hepburn. Their argument is invalid.

Short hair on women to me conveys a feeling of modernism and style. It may not necessarily be right. But goddamn I love those short-haired womens.

this is hysterical, love it!
:C Opposite thing happens for me, my boyfriend has longer hair than me, so obviously that makes him gay and me a lesbian.
My hair is really thick, curly and grows incredibly fast… so I keep it really short most of the time.
People’s reactions were interesting.
Everyone assumes I’m a lesbian due to the short hair and ‘boyish’ clothes. “You’re at LEAST bi, right?”
Whoooooa! I just stumbled on this! And it is WONDERFUL.
When I cut my hair short everyone said I looked either lesbian or androgynous. Or both. Awesome…

WHAT HAPPENED TO COMFORT??
I came home with a pixie cut and my dad said “when did I get another son?” HA! I just got out of a horrible relationship and I needed a fresh start. It feels fantastic.
PEACE out in all directions!
